This policy explains what personal information BH Scooter collects, how we use it and who we share it with.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and the scooter you chose.
- When you pay: you enter your card on our payment processor's secure page. We never see or store your card number; we see the amount and whether the payment went through.
- When you email us: your email address and what you write.
- When you browse: our web server logs standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, for security and troubleshooting. We also measure how the website is used, as described below.
How we measure our website
We run our own analytics, on our own server, to see which pages help and where people get stuck. It records the pages you open, how long you stay and how far you scroll, where on a page you click and the label of what you clicked, the website or campaign link that brought you here, your device type and browser, and your approximate location (country, state and city) as given by your network. It also notes whether a visit ended in an order or a message, so we know which pages work.
To tell a new visit from a returning one, your browser keeps a random identifier in its local storage. It doesn't contain your name or contact details, and clearing your browser's site data removes it. Our analytics never record what you type into a form, don't store your IP address, and aren't shared with or sold to anyone. We keep this data for up to 13 months.
Cookies and advertising trackers
We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we don't set cookies on your visits to the store. The payment page is run by our payment processor and is covered by its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To process, ship and deliver your order.
- To contact you about your order, delivery, returns or warranty claims.
- To prevent fraud and keep our website secure.
- To understand how visitors use our website and improve it.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.
Who we share it with
Only what each of them needs to do their part:
- our payment processor, to take your payment;
- our email provider, to deliver order emails;
- shipping carriers, to deliver your scooter and send tracking updates;
- the manufacturer or its authorized service provider, if you ask us to help with a warranty claim;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for your order, returns and warranty, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. We may need to keep some records the law requires.
Do Not Track
We don't track visitors across other websites and don't let other companies track you on ours, so our website works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Security
Our website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and card details are handled only by our payment processor.
Children
Our website isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
